Statement Of Faith

What  We Believe:  Our Manifesto

God

We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who is eternal, sovereign, and the creator of all things. He is holy and righteous, yet full of love and mercy. God desires a relationship with His people and has revealed Himself through Scripture, creation, and ultimately, through Jesus Christ. Our worship, obedience, and devotion belong to Him alone.

(Gen 1:1, Deut 6:4, Ps 90:2, Is 40:28, Jn 4:24, Rom 11:33-36, 1 Cor 8:6, Eph 4:6, 1 Tim 1:17).

Jesus

Jesus is not just the way; He is our way. Before all things and in all things, we value Jesus as Lord of heaven and earth and the image of the invisible God. We worship God by imitating the life, teachings, and ministry of Jesus. Our theology and praxis are relentlessly Christ-centered. Jesus is our model, mentor, hero, mediator, Savior, judge, King, and ruler of all.

(Matt 28:19, Jn 1:3, Jn 13:15, Jn 14:6, Jn 17:18, Rom 5:10, Eph 1:22-23, Phil 2:5, Col 1:15-20, Col 2:9, Col 3:17, Heb 1:3, Heb 12:2, Eph 5:1-2, Jn 13:14-15, Acts 26:16, Rom 1:4, 1 Tim 2:5, Heb 7:25, Acts 4:12, Ti 3:6, Rom 2:16, Jn 9:39, 2 Tim 4:1, Rev 1:5, Rev 19:16, Col 1:18, Rev 17:1).

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the active presence of the Holy Spirit, who empowers, convicts, and guides believers into all truth. The Spirit equips the Church for mission, cultivates spiritual growth, and manifests God’s presence in our lives. We seek to be continually filled and led by the Spirit as we participate in God’s Kingdom work.

(Jn 14:16-17, Jn 16:13, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:38, Rom 8:11, 1 Cor 2:12, Gal 5:22-23, Eph 1:13-14, Eph 5:18).

The Bible

We trust the authority, reliability, and truth of all Scripture. In humility, we acknowledge we do not fully understand God and the world He made. Therefore, we rely on the Bible to be the rule of our faith, teaching us what we do not know, correcting misconceptions, and guiding us into truth. We do not approach Scripture selectively but submit to it as a whole, recognizing that Jesus is the Word of God made flesh. Scripture reveals both who we truly are and the wonder of the God we long to know.

(Deut 4:10, 2 Sam 7:28, Ps 18:30, Is 40:8, Matt 4:4, Jn 1:1-17, 2 Tim 3:16, Heb 4:12, Rev 19:9).

The Church

The Church is not defined by buildings, budgets, or leaders but by the people of God. When disciples of Jesus move together in worship, community, and mission, they are the Church.

(Matt 16:18, Rom 12:5, 1 Cor 1:10, Heb 10:24-25, 1 Pet 2:5).

Community

We are committed to Christ-centered community. God calls us into His mission together, never alone. Isolation, fear, and spiritual competition are barriers to growth. We believe true community fosters healing, accountability, and discipleship. We prioritize committed, loving friendships and seek to lead through shared life and leadership.

(Ecc 4:9-10, Matt 18:20, Jn 15:13, Acts 2:44, Rom 12:4-10, Gal 6:2, Eph 4:11-13, Phil 2:3-4, Heb 10:24-25, 1 Jn 3:16).

Community Groups (C-Groups)

We affirm Community Groups (C-Groups) as the most basic expression of the Church. When believers gather for worship, community, and mission, they embody the Church. While we value leadership, sacraments, and spiritual gifts, the heart of the Church is faithful discipleship, not institutional structures. The larger church exists to support and empower these smaller communities in their mission.

(Matt 28:19-20, Acts 2:42-47, Rom 16:3-5, 1 Cor 12:12-14, Eph 2:22, Col 3:16).

Contextualization

We empower each Community Group (C-Group) to proclaim and demonstrate the gospel in ways that make sense to the people they serve. Jesus met people where they were, speaking their language and engaging their culture. We do not impose rigid structures but allow for creative and meaningful expressions of faith that reflect the revolutionary message of the Kingdom.

(Jn 1:14, Acts 17:22-23, Rom 12:2, 1 Cor 9:19-23, Phil 2:5-8).

Culture & Ethnicity

Every culture and ethnicity reflects aspects of God’s image. The Church is meant to be a living demonstration of reconciliation and unity. We do not strive for colorblindness but rather celebrate and learn from the beauty of every culture. Our commitment is to actively pursue a multi-ethnic community that glorifies God.
(Gen 1:27, Ps 67:2-3, Is 56:7, Acts 10:34-35, Rom 14:11, Eph 2:14-22, Rev 7:9).

Sharing & Giving

We commit to radical generosity. Sharing breaks the bondage of possessiveness, while giving loosens materialism’s grip on our hearts. We view our resources as God’s and seek to use them to advance His Kingdom. The church’s finances must model the same generosity we encourage in individuals.

(Mal 3:10, Acts 2:43-47, 2 Cor 9:10-13, 1 Jn 3:17).

Humility

We pursue humility in leadership, theology, and relationships. True discipleship requires a posture of learning, repentance, and openness to the Spirit’s guidance. We believe in the prophetic voice of God but recognize that we are flawed listeners and must approach His calling with humility.

(Ps 25:9, Mic 6:8, Matt 5:3, Lk 14:10, Rom 12:3, Phil 2:3-11, 1 Pet 5:5-6).

The Return of Jesus

We believe in the physical and actual return of Jesus Christ, the fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan for creation. His return will bring justice, restoration, and the full realization of His Kingdom. We live with expectation, faithfully proclaiming His gospel and embodying His love as we await His coming. This hope shapes our mission, our values, and our daily lives, compelling us to remain steadfast in faith and active in love.

(Matt 24:30-31, Jn 14:3, Acts 1:10-11, 1 Cor 15:51-52, 1 Thess 4:16-17, 2 Thess 1:7-10, Rev 22:12-13, Rev 22:20).

Conclusion

Our calling is to embody the gospel of the Kingdom, proclaim Jesus as Lord, and live in authentic community. We are committed to being a church that reflects the image of Christ in our city and beyond. Our manifesto is not just a statement of beliefs but a call to action—an invitation to live out the Kingdom in every area of life
