Who is Bridge City?

Bridge City is a fresh start for people who’ve wondered if church still matters.

We’re not here to put on a show—we’re building something real: authentic connection, Kingdom purpose, and a faith that endures when life gets loud. It’s okay to be skeptical or uncertain. This is a place to ask honest questions, rediscover Jesus, and take your next step toward the life you were made for.

We exist to reflect Jesus to our city—not just in words, but in how we live, serve, and love. We’re here to help people take real steps toward who God created them to be.

Our Sunday gatherings aren’t just “services” — they’re a work in progress, a Kingdom movement in the making. We’re gathering people who are hungry for more than religious routine. People who are ready to rebuild faith, rediscover Jesus, and reflect His Kingdom into the heart of Gainesville and the surrounding area.

So, whether you’re exploring faith or an all-in follower of Jesus, this is a space to find connection and live for something bigger than all of us.

We currently gather Sundays at 10:30 AM at our ministry hub — located just beyond Sun Country Sports, across from Publix in Steeplechase Plaza (14091 SW 3rd Blvd, Newberry, FL).

It’s raw, real, and intentionally different. No smoke machines. No polished performances. Just people being honest, hungry, and open to what God wants to do next.'

Faith & Worship
Encountering God should be real, honest, and transformative. Our worship is heartfelt and band-led—sometimes loud, but always centered on Jesus. Our teaching is rooted in the words and way of Jesus, not religion, not politics, not hype. Just honest, Kingdom-centered faith that speaks to real life and calls us into something deeper. Whether you’re all-in or just barely showing up, this is a space to wrestle with truth and meet God as He really is.
Service & Purpose
Faith isn’t just something we talk about—it’s something we live. From food drives to local outreach, we’re showing up for our city. Jesus calls us to serve, not just believe. Here, purpose finds feet.
What About Kids?
If you’re a parent, we know how much it matters that your kids feel safe, valued, and genuinely cared for.

That’s why at Bridge City, we create simple, secure, and deeply intentional environments for kids. We don’t just entertain—we engage. Through story, play, and age-appropriate experiences, kids are invited to explore who Jesus is and how much they matter to Him.

We know some families have questions or past church experiences that made them hesitant. That’s okay. You don’t have to have it all figured out—and neither do your kids. We’re building a space where curiosity is welcomed, faith is formed gently, and every child is known by name.

Because they’re not just the future. They’re the church right now. And faith should feel real for them, too.

ABOUT THE PASTOR

Sean and Kerry Taylor have called Gainesville home for over 40 years. High school sweethearts, they got married in 1990 and have built their lives here—raising a family, investing in their city, and serving in ministry for nearly 30 years.

Over the years, Sean has done a little bit of everything—leading worship, preaching, pastoring, and planting churches. Through it all, one thing has never changed: a deep passion for helping people experience faith that’s honest, grounded, and ‘real’.

That’s why they’re launching Bridge City Community Church—a place for honest conversations, meaningful connection, and faith that actually makes a difference. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time, looking for a church that feels like home, or just in need of a fresh start—you’re invited.

No pressure. No pretense. Just a place to belong, ask real questions, and explore what following Jesus could really look like.
